Where have I been? I'll tell you where...

It has been so long since I blogged, huh?! Sorry about that. I've been a little preoccupied. I have a sweet, yet destructive, toddler and a darling, but needy, newborn. I am still adjusting to life with two small children and, if I do say so myself, I think I'm doing pretty dern good. I now have a routine established; here it is: Wake up to two screaming babies. Change their diapers. Feed #1 (Kailyn) breakfast and simultaneously, feed #2 (Harlie Jo) a bottle. Eat breakfast. While #2 sleeps/cries, shower and clothe #1 and myself. Put #1 down for a nap while #2 cries waiting for food. Rather than feed her, bathe and clothe #2 also. Then feed #2. If there's leftover time during #1's nap, do whatever I want (i.e. tidy up, do laundry, surf internet, watch tv, read, etc.). #1 wakes up and the Huzz (Garrett) comes home for lunch. Feed everyone again and relax/play with #1 while #2 naps and the Huzz goes back to work. Try to manage the Crazies (i.e. #1 and #2) and my sanity until the Huzz returns for the day. Once he gets home, we are all much easier to deal with. Then I do it all over again the next day, and that's my life. Maybe it doesn't sound that impressive to you folks, but it gets tricky every now and then. Anyway, that's what I do and I have managed not to lose my temper like at all this week. Well, mostly I mean. But I feel so good about the fact that I shower and get everyone fed and bathed everyday! I think that's a huge accomplishment and if that's ALL I get done all day, I'm sittin' perty.

Moving on, we do other things as well. For instance, the Grandparents are finishing their basement so we are invited over every weekend until they finish it in order to help them. Here are a couple photos I snapped while we were visiting:

Aw, sisters!
Also, I always find time for our monthly Girl's Night (GN) and I'm SO glad that I do! We do lots of different things at GN and we all take turns planning it. Here's a couple of the activities we have done so far: Home pedicures (like 4 times...). Karaoke night (where we sang to YouTube music videos). Eat out. Eat in. Watch a chick flick. Play the dancing game on the Xbox Kinect. Eat Chocolate Fondue. And tons of other things. I love Girl's Night. We always have lovely conversation and that's probably my favorite part. But this past week we had probably one of my very favorite GN's and it was Hair Night. We got ideas from online of different hairstyles we wanted to try and we all did each other's hair. Here are a couple pictures:

The Girls. Being awesome. You can't tell how cute everyone's hair is,  but it is.

The cliche fingers-star. Can you guess whose fingers are whose?

Carol's baby bump and my leftover baby bump. We are so cool, I already know.
Anyway, that was a lovely GN and I hope we can share more pictures in the future of it than we have so far. We kind of forget to take them often, but we always have a really fun time. I love my friends.

I also love my family. I love my two adorable children and my gem of a husband. We are doing well and that's what's up. Just thought I'd share.
