Did I mention that I'm having a baby...
GIRL?!?!
We are excited because we already have girl stuff and we know how to do the girl thing, so it will be nice. And plus, Kailyn can have a little best friend who's very close to her in age. Woohoo.
Also, here's a random update on Kailyn since it's been a while:
She's around 15.5 months old and is still sorta small but not small enough to worry the doctors. She's in the 11th percentile for weight, the 43rd for height, and the 27th-ish for head circumference. Her favorite foods are oatmeal and bananas. She LOVES milk and can't get enough of it in a day. She has 7 teeth and if last night was any indication, I'm pretty sure she's about to sprout some more any day now. She is quite the explorer and gets pretty frustrated if someone tries to change her mind about what she should be doing. She said her first word (maybe a week ago): Dada (dad). She also says a version of Mama, which is baba. She makes and repeats other sounds but Dad is the only one I really count because she knows the sign, the word, and who he is all mean the same person. She signs like crazy though. She doesn't always do the sign correctly, but she does her version of the signs very consistently. She has around 25 signs that she knows, including, but not limited to:
Hi/Bye, Milk, Please, All Done, More, Touchdown, No, Food, Dad, Water, Mom, Thank you, Potty, Down, Poop, Cold, Hot, Tired, Juice, Nose, Ears, Head, Tummy, Mouth, and Bread.
I think that's a pretty decent list for a 15 month-old. At church, our ward has about 3 nursery/primary kids because it's a married student ward so they have started letting Kailyn go to nursery too even though she's not 18 months old yet. She has gone 2 weeks now and has done beautifully. I like to peek in on her and see her sitting at the table like a big kid eating her snack and swinging her legs just like all the other big kids. I don't know who told her she could just grow up so fast but she's just doing it. Kailyn LOVES to dance. We dance at our house all the time and I, personally, love to dance, but she seems to have her own love of it too. She's got a pretty good variety of moves in that arena too. She's a really fast learner too. Anyway, that's Kailyn for now. She's doing great and being adorable.
And still no actual update on a job for Garrett. Some things are seeming a lot more promising than others but as of right now, nothing is completely official. We aren't worried but I still wish someone would just tell us on the record so that we can start planning and finding housing and what not.
Anyway, life is good. And here are some pictures to entice you to read this post.
This is Garrett and me on a date night. He had an awards ceremony/dinner/dance thing for his major and it was really fun.
And I don't remember posting this one already of Kailyn. For Halloween, we were Mama and Papa Bear and Kailyn was our honey bee.

Your family is so cute, I'm so excited for you to add another adorable baby girl! Also I love, love, love your sweater in the picture at the top of the blog. We should have an old roommate get together again it has been too long.
Yay! Another girl! Congratulations!
Job hunting is stressful. Probably more for our husbands than for us, but it's stressful nonetheless. I hope Garrett finds something soon! I am excited you are having another girl. I want a girl next too! In a couple of years of course...
That is impressive that Kailyn knows that many signs. She will probably just start spouting out words one day. That's what I did. My mom is deaf so I communicated in sign language, but said few words. Then when I was 3 I talked like an adult.
