Fun News again...

As some of you may know, Garrett decided a few months ago to pursue a medical career. For many different reasons, he felt like it was the right thing to do. As of last week, however, he decided that pursuing a medical career was right for him to do at that time, and is now right for him to not do any longer. He took some classes and got a feel for what the next ten years would be like (with several hard classes and hours worth of studying and homework and being gone a lot) and he even started volunteering and doing research and all these things because you sort of have to if you want to get into medical school. So as one of the extracurricular things he was doing, he became a research TA with one of his professors (still in his old major- Facility and Property Management) and they presented that research at a conference in Oregon last week. When he came home, he started considering a job in that field. After a lot of consideration, he has decided to switch back to Facility and Property Management. I'm really happy for him. I wasn't sitting around wishing he would switch back but once he started considering it, I realized it would be a lot better for us. Now we'll be done in about a year and if he wants, after a few years of working, he may go back and get an MBA but for now, we're just going to get his undergrad. We are both really excited and it means so many fun things for us (like instead of going into further debt and being in school SO MUCH LONGER, we get to just be in school for one more year, which is when he would have graduated in the first place had he not changed his major, and one day we can move into a house! Anyway, I think it's fun news and we are happy. Just thought I'd update ya!
