The above picture has nothing to do with this post but I wanted to show you how cute Kailyn's toes have been. I cut out a little flower with a rhinestone from my toenail decals (because they don't make them small enough for infant feet) and put it on her. Cute, huh?

So I've been meaning to write about our 4th of July celebration. We had a really fun time. We weren't planning to go to Stadium of Fire but at the last minute, our friends, Carol and Nick, invited us (a whole 1 hour before it started...) and told us we could get decently-priced tickets so we decided to go. Luckily Garrett's parents were able to step in and babysit for us, which was super nice. We got to see Carrie Underwood in concert and it was AMAZING! What I mean by that is that she's a good performer. She didn't totally botch her songs since she was singing live like a lot of singers do and she was fun to watch. We also enjoyed the respects paid to the military men and the Eagle Scouts (Go Garrett!). We were way up in the top but it was still really fun. We also decorated t-shirts (and a onesie) with puffy paint and decorated sugar cookies. We stayed at Garrett's parents' new house in Eagle Mountain and they had an excellent, delicious, very festive 4th of July dinner. We also bought (and haggled for) a piano keyboard from Craigslist. Thank you to Mom Strong for scoring such a good deal on that, I will learn how to barter one of these days. Anyway, I really love this country and it was so fun to celebrate it and remember how lucky we are to live here.
Also, Pioneer Day just passed which means that we also just had our 2-YEAR ANNIVERSARY!! It was fun. We celebrated our awesomeness by going shopping and out to see "Inception" which was pretty neat. I feel very lucky to have dear Garrett in my life because he really is a stud and the longer I'm around him, the more I really see that. He's a really good example to me and he's always inspiring me to be better. He is the sweetest husband and also the most loving daddy. We are incredibly blessed to be able to say that after two years, we are still very happy. We are learning more and more about each other and we have a lot of fun together. In conclusion, we are happy. And awesome.
And for our last bit of news: Little missy Kai thinks she's so big. She's been crawling since July 2nd. She does what Elizabeth calls a "pimp crawl". She totally knows how to crawl normally and she does it sometimes, but for some reason, it seems like she thinks it's more efficient to crawl on one knee and one foot, like pimps limp when they walk. She's also constantly pulling herself to standing position and loves to do it everywhere! And two days ago, Sunday, I felt her first little tooth break through. It's on the bottom in the front and she cannot stop chewing on things to relieve that pain. Anyway, she's adorable and continues to grow and get cuter. We love having her around and I'm so grateful I get to watch her development so closely. What a darling.
So that's our update. We're all doing really well and we are happy and awesome.
