(This show is actually really cool. Does anyone else watch it?)
(Shoe shopping is my favorite. One lady at work, with a fellow shoe fetish, says I need to convince Garrett to let me buy AT LEAST one new pair of shoes a month. I laughed and decided there's no way Garrett would really want to go along with that.)

I also go on walks and I try to participate in some low-intensity exercises (like lower back raises and other pregnancy-approved stretchy kinds of things). On one of my more recent walks, I encountered several fun animals in the yards of the neighborhood houses. There were a lot of horses and there was an emu that kept staring at me. Birds are creepy enough, but giant ones that stare you down? Very creepy. Okay, so that's not several animals, but it was weird to see them just standing around in someone's very medium-sized yard.

(Creepy, right?)
Another thing I've been getting into is crafts. At my work, we have craft kits as part of our program for the veterans. In order for me to become better able to instruct and assist the veterans, it's useful for me to know how to do some of the projects myself. Right now I have a suncatcher that I'm painting. It's kinda fun, but it's difficult to find painting space in this house because a lot of activities are off-limits in certain areas. I also have a leather purse to lace up that I will use as my only brown-based purse once I finish.

I tried watching tv the other day. I can't figure out how to work the tv really but the other day it was already set for satellite so I watched Bridezillas. If I ever complain because my husband gets more attention than me at the teeth whitening specialist's because his teeth are terrible and mine are already gorgeous, please gently but firmly inform me that my sweet husband doesn't deserve that. Those girls were ridiculous. And my husband's teeth aren't terrible, they're very cute.

I also chat on the phone frequently. I don't have many friends here so I just keep in touch with my faraway friends. I even have a cycle of who I call and when, ha.

Anyway, that's what I've been filling my time with lately. It's really nice because I have time to do chores and homework when I have it and other random things that help keep my life well-balanced. It's been really pleasant so far. But I do still really miss my husband. He's very fun to be around and sometimes I wish we could do more things together, but until we can, I'm trying to keep a good attitude. I'm glad he is being diligent at his job because at least his job makes money, which is something we don't have a lot of. And it's neat since my life is not very stressful.

How fun! I need to make a list of things I do so that I can feel more productive even if I'm not currently working. I know what you mean about the whole missing your husband yet enjoying time off thing. I also agree on the Bridezillas comment... what a ridiculous show! haha I've watched it a few times and all I ever think is... WHY IS HE MARRYING HER? haha silly silly girls make themselves look insane on TV.
Kasy! I'm so glad to hear you are doing well! Your blog is so funny!! Take care!
Sorry that you and G don't get to see each other very often. I am glad that you are having a fun time in AZ. You should try (if you haven't already) Nielsen's Frozen Custard. It is right by Grandma's house and is delicious. That is where I worked in high school. Glad to see you are keeping yourself busy. Do you ever exercise on Grandma's walker-glider thing? that is a fun one. Hope you continue to have a good summer!
And we REALLY like it when you come to visit us! Hopefully that isn't taking too much time away from your husband!
