Last Tuesday, Garrett and I went with Garrett's brother-in-law, Mike, to Costco to buy a Christmas present for Garrett's mom. We couldn't help looking at a million other things in the process because that's what happens when we go there. We started looking at the laptops, and the prices, and we saw one of those small ones (a laptop mini) that had a little 8" screen (it was sooo cute) and we started seriously considering buying it. My desktop at home has been having issues this whole semester but just recently it pretty much quit working. We still think it is salvageable but we just don't have the resources to figure out how to fix it right now. Plus, I wanted a laptop anyway so we thought if we were going to buy a computer, whenever in the future, we would buy a laptop. That little one wasn't even on sale, but it was still less expensive than we thought buying one would be and we had nothing against little cute laptops, as opposed to typical-sized ones.

The Walmart deals started at 5. We weren't that dedicated so we went at 7 and everything good was gone. Garrett remembered having seen the same laptop at Office Max so we drove over there after Walmart. *I later read about a Walmart employee being stampeded to death in New York on Black Friday so I'm glad we weren't there too early. Isn't that insane?!* Anyway, so once we got to Office Max and found the laptops, an employee asked if he could help us find anything. He told us they had the laptop we were looking for (for $20 cheaper than Walmart) and it came with a free printer/scanner/copier. And we also got Microsoft Office for half the price it is normally and inexpensive blank cd's. There was no line, people were super friendly and helpful, and they had the exact computer we wanted for cheaper than we could find it anywhere else. Black Friday was pretty good for us.

Love good deals with no stress! I wish we could have been with you guys on Thanksgiving. I'm thankful to be around some family here in AZ. I'm sorry to hear about your uncle. Death is hard, but the gospel brings a peace about it. We're excited to see "Aunt Asey" in a few weeks!
