Day #2 Organizing Challenge

So my Day #2 Challenge was to do my:
Kitchen Drawers

This is what they look like:
And remember, we are renting so we have no say it what kind of drawers or cabinets we have and we can't change them. So don't judge.

Drawer #1 BEFORE
This is our silverware drawer. And where we keep our oven mits.

AFTER
It's amazing what some bins and baskets can do for a drawer. Oh, and we moved the oven mits to Drawer #3.

Drawer #2 BEFORE
This is our Sharps drawer. And a little bit of a miscellaneous drawer. But everything is just thrown in there haphazardly and it REALLY needed a makeover.

So here's the AFTER:
We moved the cutting boards to a different cabinet. It's hard to tell it's even the same drawer, though, huh.

Drawer #3
This is one of Kailyn's favorite drawers. It houses our tupperware containers. And almost anything plastic. It's hard to keep things inside the drawer at all since Kailyn loves to pull everything out EVERYDAY, but it's even harder to get all those things back in.

AFTER
See? Here are the oven mits, nicely contained in a bin. And now it is the measuring cup home along with the place where I keep my nursing pump and bottles.

And last but not least, Drawer #4
This is where we keep foil and ziplock bags and stuff. It wasn't terrible, but there was still room for improvement.

AFTER
Now it just has ziplock bags and toothpicks. We moved the foil and other wraps to a shelf in a cabinet that you'll see later on. It looks less cramped now though, right?

So that's how Day #2 went. It wasn't exactly a consecutive Day #2 since there were two full days between Day #1 and #2 but still. As a sidenote, the reason that the blog lady who made this challenge chose 21 days was because that is theoretically how long it takes to form a habit. And I decided before I started that I did not mind if I formed a habit of this. My actual goal is to organize my home. If it takes me a month, I'm just fine with that. So keep that in mind as you read of my progress. And also feel free to give me encouragement along the way to keep me motivated! Again, stay tuned for more!

You are doing awesome. You will love the new organization. The hardest part now is to keep it up after you organize it. You will probably do just fine keeping it up because you organized it. The trick will be to keep others in your home keeping it up.
