By the way, can you believe that she is already 5 months old?! I can't. She's getting so big!

Sleeping like a Baby
Just to update you all, Kailyn's sleep used to be a huge issue for me but now, it's so not anymore. It took a little effort to transition her from our bed to her crib in her room and I thought that was the end of it but instead it led to another problem. I started noticing that she was waking up a million times a night to nurse and I was SUPER EXHAUSTED! I really could not keep doing that. Besides, my gut told me that she was waking up because she couldn't get back to sleep on her own, not because she was genuinely hungry. Now, after a bit of crying and putting her on a better routine with a much earlier bedtime, my darling daughter sleeps peacefully in her own crib every single night for 10-12 hours without waking up to nurse at all. I would be willing to nurse her once or twice a night, since that's normal for babies her age, but she just sleeps instead, which I'm seriously down with. So anyway, I just wanted to post that there is a happy ending. I was starting to worry that every time I fixed one problem, it would just lead to something else but that's not what happened. I feel great about where we are and we are both very happy, healthy, and well-rested. Thank goodness!
By the way, can you believe that she is already 5 months old?! I can't. She's getting so big!
