My silly day
So yes Ms. Kailyn sleeps in her crib. However she has been waking up a lot more during the night so it feels like I have a newborn again and am nursing every 2 hours instead of sleeping. Last night for the 4th night in a row she woke up multiple times so that my exhaustion just keeps building and building. Today I planned to nap during her longer nap, which really wasn't very long and luckily Garrett surprised us and came home early so he was able to help. So right as I was lying down she woke up and he walked in and said he'd go love her so I could get some much-needed sleep. It was hard for me to just let him take care of her and switch into sleep mode so I kept waking back up and asking him questions and telling him things that were not really very important for me to be discussing when I should have been trying to sleep, like how tired I was and how I put dinner in the crock pot and wasn't he proud of me for that and how I was sorry I didn't get to the huge pile of dishes because of how exhausted I felt. Of course then I started laughing hysterically with sleep deprivation and naturally that led to the crying mixed in with more crazy laughter. I wad soooo tired. Garrett was just staring at me. So then I finally quit getting distracted and actually got some sleep. I'm not feeling completely rejuvenated but I'm definitely better. So that was my silly day. I hope tonight is better.

I hope you have a better night too! Have you considered or tried rice cereal? It may help her sleep longer? I know, another suggestion you probably don't want :-).
If she cries in the night and you know it has only been a few hours let her cry a little. She will realize you won't feed her every time. I did that with Katelyn and it worked. I did that mainly because I was physically exhausted and she went back to sleep. If she continued to cry I would hug her to calm her and then lay her back down without talking. All babies are different, so what one mom does doesn't work for everyone.
PS Katelyn loved to be swaddled too!!
