Alaska and Bump

We recently saw the movie "The Proposal" which takes place in Alaska. Now, Garrett wants to move to Alaska (not just because of the movie though) and I'm almost interested. For those of you who know me, you know that I do not like cold weather and in Alaska, pretty sure that's all there is. But it does look pretty. And it's really cheap to live there. So, I have told Garrett that I think there may be ONE way that I might enjoy living there. Part of the reason I don't love the cold is because I don't have appropriate clothes since I've never really needed them. If we agreed to move there (someday) then I told him he has to let me buy a whole new wardrobe that is cute and wintry. That way, maybe I'd enjoy it. And also, he has to let us visit Florida and Arizona during the summers sometimes. So that is our little Alaska arrangement. I realize it couldn't be farther from everything I've known, but, I encourage you as readers of my blog to come live there with us. Perfect solution. Let me know what you think.

Also, this is what I look like right now. I just took this picture, like 5 minutes ago. Anyway, this is the baby at 34 weeks. And I recently had to get another ultrasound and we found out that she is still a girl, phew! That bedding wouldn't have really fit if we were having a boy. We're excited, only 6 weeks to go!

And I've been thinking about this, we are super lucky to have gotten pregnant so quickly. Not everyone gets to right when they want to and it doesn't really seem fair. I guess life isn't fair and the Lord has plans for all of us, but all I'm saying is, I'm grateful for this blessing. A lot of people really struggle with this and I can't believe how lucky we've been so far. Anyway, just wanted to add that in really quickly.

Nope, you can keep Alaska all to yourselves...just send me some pics so I can paint them...preferably, mountainous scenes!
And you are right; it is a blessing!

That's kind of funny because I also have given Alaska some thought. Yes, as long as I plan it really well, I'd be up for it. Oh and *silver lining kind of* with global warming maybe Alaska won't always be so cold. Yay messing up the enivironment...I guess.

I learned recently that Alaska is actually a really expensive place to live in. So that plus the cold, and I believe I've changed my mind about moving here. It turns out that only lame places are cheaper to live in, like Kansas and Missouri and I think Ohio.
