Arizona, here we come!

I have been researching lots of places and contacting dozens of people trying to find an internship site that would be the right fit for me. Now, finally, it is settled. Garrett and I will be going down to Mesa, Arizona for four months while I complete the last step to graduation. I will be interning (with no pay, woo hoo... ) at Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Hospital, in Phoenix, doing Rec Therapy with the younger veterans who've recently returned from Iraq. I'm pretty excited because I've stayed in touch with the head CTRS (which is what I'll become soon) and she's given me a lot of info about the facility. I think it's going to be super fun and a great learning experience.

This means that Garrett and I will be living in his extremely generous Grandma Calder's house in Mesa while they are away living at their ranch for the summer in northern AZ. I hear it's blazing hot in AZ, but I am from FL so I hope it's not too miserable. We'll be near Garrett's sister, Steph, and her family which we are also excited about. Steph, we can't wait to babysit Tay!

I'm also walking this April which means my family will come visit me here in cold Utah for graduation. I am so excited about this because in my four years out here, my dad has come to visit me once. And now both he and my sister will get to come and spend 3 and a half days with us and I think it will be great because I miss them and they'll get to see what it's like out here. And I will probably continue to beg them to move here, which they will politely decline. It's okay though because I still get to see them, yay!

Also, wish us good luck in finding Garrett a decent paying summer job since that will be our only income...
